Tero for retail & ecommerce

Spot suspicious access.
Behind the storefront.

From supplier portals to reporting databases, Tero deploys realistic Decoys that reveal suspicious access to your back-office services—and captures the evidence your team needs to investigate.

A focused detection layer for the services behind your business.
Hand-drawn store, warehouse and back office, with synthetic supplier-portal and database Decoys connected to a Sensor and recorded evidence.

The activity behind the access

They explore your business.
Your Decoys record the trail.

A supplier portal, shared folder or reporting service can give an intruder somewhere believable to explore—and your security team evidence to act on.

Three comic scenes show discovery of retail support services, interaction with a synthetic supplier-portal Decoy and investigation of the recorded activity.
01 / Discovery

A familiar business service.

Someone finds an internal service represented by a Decoy: a supplier exchange, reporting database or back-office workspace.

02 / Interaction

A request leaves a record.

Realistic synthetic content gives the service a credible setting. Supported interactions capture the request and observed response.

03 / Investigation

The trail has business context.

Review the observed source, targeted service, location and session together, with the operations and outcomes that were recorded.

Around the services your business runs

Watch beyond the shopfront.
Start where exploration matters.

Choose relevant Decoys for approved store-support, head-office and commerce-support networks. Keep every deployment tied to its business environment.

SUPPLIERS & COMMERCIAL OPERATIONS

“What else can I reach?”

Represent selected finance shares, staff workspaces and internal support services. Follow suspicious access with the right location and deployment context.

Capability availability depends on the verified Sensor release and host requirements. Use synthetic content rather than customer, payment or production records.

A signal your team can follow

A supplier portal was explored.
See the recorded sequence.

Tero connects the request to its service and environment. Your team can assess what was attempted, what the Decoy returned and which evidence deserves further review.

  • The context: the location, Sensor and Decoy involved.
  • The activity: resources requested and operations attempted.
  • The outcome: a recorded response, a denial or an unconfirmed result.

Each Sensor observes interactions with its reachable Decoys. A head-office deployment does not automatically cover isolated store networks.

Before you deploy

Practical answers
for retail security teams.

Can we use Tero across stores and head office?

Plan Sensor placement around the network segments you want to observe. Associate deployments with the relevant locations and verify private reachability to each Decoy. Isolated store networks may require their own deployment.

Does Tero need real customer or payment data?

No. Use synthetic content to represent reporting records, supplier documents and internal workflows. Do not copy customer details, payment data or production credentials into Decoys.

Does this monitor the checkout or payment terminal?

This page describes supported business-service Decoys. It does not claim inspection of live checkout traffic, payment-terminal protection, transaction monitoring or PCI compliance.

What should we validate in a pilot?

Decoy readiness, network access from a separate client, observed-source attribution, correct location context, recorded responses and the investigation workflow for each selected capability.

Keep the context. Follow the signal.
